Malachite Green Metallic
malachitgrünmetallic
Malachite Green Metallic was first introduced in 2005 on the 997 generation 911 and later on the 987 Boxster and Cayman as a Special Color (Sonderfarbe).
The color was quite rarely optioned when it featured on the standard paint range between '05 and '12 and still remains relatively rare to see nowadays as a PTS color.
Malachite Green is named after a semi-precious stone regarded as “a stone of transformation.” Which is believed to help facilitate personal growth and positive change by encouraging one to break free from old patterns and embrace new beginnings.
It's quite similar to Aston Martin Racing Green or Racing Green Metallic as offered by Porsche, with the difference being that Malachite is a more 'toned down' shade of green with a subtle grey undertone.
