Basalt Black is one of two black paints that were available from the standard paint options on the 918 Spyder. This being a paid option while the other non-metallic Black came at no additional cost.
You won't see much of a difference between the two colors, certainly not in pictures. Only when up close you'll notice the metallic flake of Basalt Black.
In total 64 cars left the factory painted Basalt Black.
